i have been staying up way too late this week. i blame the halfway house down the street for this lack of responsibility i’m off at 1:30 today and i’m supposed to go swimming with jason and chris, but i really want to take a nap instead. maybe i could combine these activities and bring a pillow and nap at barton springs. hmmm…

most of my staying up too late this week was done on jenn’s patio or mine, but on wednesday i did go to my first ‘blues on the green‘ with shanna, chris, and midge (the wonder dog). we stopped at freddie’s on the way home to grab a little food (and one more drink) and let midge bark at some more dogs/people. that dog really hates men with beards!

today audrey and gordana and i met for lunch at moe’s. it was like the center of the ut universe today. we saw at least 10 other analysts there. and then when we were almost finished eating, mel and tabitha walked in. it was weird.

i finally got the pictures up! whoo! they’re seperated into pre-party and during party.

May is the anniversary of so many important events for me -

may 1st- i’ve been a homeowner for 2 months!

may 5th- calla is 9 years old!

may 24th- sixth anniversary of my official divorce date!

May 28th – the day i arrived in austin… 10 years ago!!

- that i think i have to have you all over for some drinks and food!

jenn and i watched kiss kiss, bang bang on tuesday night after we got our baby fix with eli and it was awesome. go rent it! now!

my brother’s friend is the guy on the bottom left with glasses, dark hair and a flag cape.
mike was sitting beside him but on the left – one person away from being on the front page of the new york times. sigh.

yesterday i stepped in gum with my left shoe at threadgills at lunch. then i stepped in gum with my right shoe after work at walgreens. and then i BURNED my arm when i used it to push open my metal storm door when i got home. sigh.

on yard improvements instead of vacations. ah, home ownership. here are some pictures of the progress on the fence extension and new deck/patio!

my cold is almost gone and i’ve been totally bootless since monday! i’m almost back to normal which is good since camille’s going away happy hour is friday, audrey and rodrigo’s party is saturday and jason and i are going to todd snider on sunday.

i would have had plans tonight too since shanna wanted to go to the found show at the alamo. i waffled too long and now it’s sold out. sigh. i still say nothing can beat the original note that started found though so i can’t be missing much

i have an icky, annoying cold. it’s partly my fault for lowering my immunity by drinking from 6pm saturday to 10am sunday and partly jenn’s fault for exposing me to the germs. but i had so much fun that i guess it’s worth it. pictures to be posted later

fyi- that crap about dayquil not making you sleepy is a lie. a big lie.
